Impress your guests with this refreshing gin cocktail

Summer cocktail party season is upon us! You don’t have to be a bartender to make a great cocktail. With the right ingredients and barware, you can quickly create a drink that is sure to be a hit. The Summer Wind is a great place to start because this is the perfect drink on a hot day. The dill and the cucumber will add an attractive and intricate savory note to this thirst-quenching, herbaceous drink that will absolutely impress your guests. 

Summer Wind Cocktail


1 1/2 ounces dry gin

3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice

3/4 ounce simple syrup

1/2 ounce fresh cucumber juice

1 pinch dill

Seltzer water 

1 thin, long cucumber slice, for garnish

2 lime wedges (optional)


Mix all ingredients except seltzer water in a cocktail shaker. Add ice, then shake for 15 to 20 seconds. Strain into a glass over fresh ice. Top with seltzer and garnish with a long thin cucumber slice that’s wrapped on the inside of the glass. Add lime wedges before serving.
