La Jolla Veterinary Hospital will host its fifth annual Paws & Pints La Jolla fundraiser at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, June 7, at The Lot. One hundred percent of the event’s proceeds go to The Rancho Coastal Humane Society and The FACE Foundation.
The Rancho Coastal Humane Society is responsible for finding homes for thousands of animals all around San Diego. The FACE Foundation is a nonprofit that provides financial assistance for San Diego animal owners who are unable to afford the cost of their pet’s life-saving emergency veterinary care.

NEW MURAL SALUTES ARTISTS IN LA JOLLA + WHALING BAR
The newest art installation of the popular murals in town went up earlier this Spring at 1162 Prospect St. Rual Guerrero’s “Raymond Chandler at The Whaling Bar” replaces the mural “Opening” by William Wegman that La Jollans have known since 2014. This latest mural is a salute to the vibrancy of the local arts and culture in La Jolla and the setting spotlights the old Whaling Bar at La Valencia Hotel before the renovation to Cafe La Rue.
