Fresh Start Surgical Gifts 26th Annual Butterfly Ball to Benefit Children with Physical Deformities

San Diego nonprofit Fresh Start Surgical Gifts will host its 26th Anniversary Summer of Love Butterfly Ball on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. Former NBA Champion Bill Walton and his wife Lori have been involved with Fresh Start for over five years and will serve as the event’s honorary chairs. The Butterfly Ball will commemorate Fresh Start’s commitment over the past 26 years in providing surgical gifts and transforming the lives of infants, children and teens with physical deformities caused by birth defects, accidents, abuse or disease. Tasende Gallery Exhibition 
and Anniversary

After a year of building and renovation, Tasende Gallery welcomes the public to view the exhibition Sign of the Times featuring 19 works from 19 artists. This show honors the many artists who have contributed to the history of the gallery and cultural landscape of the community during the last 38 years. A few highlights of the exhibition include Giacomo Manzu’s Doors of Death; Eduardo Chillida will be represented with a mural fired in clay; and Niki de Saint Phalle’s Totem Bullhead 2000. Sign of the Times will run through November 4, Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. TasendeGallery.com

14th Annual Harvest for Hope

On Sunday, October 1, at the San Diego Central Library to benefit ENF’s support programs. Harvest for Hope brings together some of the finest chefs in San Diego to present unique dishes paired with some of the finest wines and spirits in the world, creating a beautiful and fun afternoon of great food, wine, music and friendship.
