Pets Among Us

Name: Teddy

Age: 6 years

Dog’s Best Fiend: Mark Erwin

Teddy’s endearing cuddles offer warmth to countless patients recuperating at The Cove Rehabilitation Center. As a licensed therapy dog, Teddy maintains the glee of a puppy coupled with the maturity of an experienced comfort dog. It’s not surprising this Canine Good Citizen also holds a framed diploma from The American Kennel Club. In fact, it hangs right next to his owner Mark Erwin’s master’s degree in Spiritual Psychology. Together, the duo volunteer ‘PET therapy’ in an effort to provide patients with the unconditional love oft-attributed to man’s best friend. Teddy enjoys playing fetch with socks and snacking on his favorite treat of dried venison. However, Teddy’s fondest pleasure is found in the smiles of the patients who embrace his company.
